Every so often, a book comes along at just the right time and changes the path you are on in the best way possible. If you haven't read City of Tranquil Light, I want to be the first to press it into your hands and urge you to allow God to speak to you through this story! I loved this book on every level and am so grateful it was our book club pick for July! Go read it- you won't be disappointed! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've encountered and endured 3 major life decision

I've encountered and endured 3 major life decisions in 3 years- 3 decisions that had enormous impact on my own life and the life of my family. I can relate to the suffocating weight of those decisions and also on the other side the unexplainable peace that comes from having God's direction.
This book allowed me to process some of those decisions and grow in awe of how God led me through those times of discernment. I am so grateful for how @emilypfreeman gives language and articulation to processes that are sometimes under the surface and difficult to quantify. Her experience in spiritual formation and her honesty in unpacking the hard things in her own life is life-giving and transformative. And I am so thankful to have this as a resource to tackle the crossroads of life I will undoubtably encounter in the future.

💗March is Endometriosis Awareness Month!
Last year, I had a life changing endometriosis excision surgery. I had been struggling with this disease for 25 years. 25 years of pain, doctors who could not help me, and endless "solutions" that did not work. My pain levels were crippling and at times made me pass out or throw up. I feel so thankful for God leading me to the right medical team and to the incredibly skilled surgeon that was able to finally address and heal my pain. This is not something I normally share or post about, but I feel so strongly that finding the right doctor who understands this complicated condition is KEY! I literally have people who contact me almost weekly asking for advice related to this. And now, as a mom of 4 daughters, I am so passionate about addressing endo from the start. If you, your daughter, or your friends/family is suffering from endometriosis or adenomyosis, I would love to share some things that have been helpful in my journey. For starters, the books Know your Endo and The Doctor Will See You Now address the gold standard treatment for endo that most current OB/GYNS are not trained in and are not even likely aware of: excision surgery. I would love to help other people in this journey and answer any questions you may have!
